Layers and layers in Google Maps

Layers and layers in Google Maps

That Google has projects that go undetected is natural. Each one has its interest, but key parts of a project will go unnoticed for their users indicates that something is being done well.

I’m talking about Google Maps , which continues to improve in functionality but not in their appearance. Every time you have more tools, but are largely inaccessible. The web interface of Google Maps does not do justice to the program.

Always been considered to Google Maps as the poor relation of Google Earth , but it is hoped that this will change. It is certainly more comfortable navigating the Google Earth interface, runs faster, the tools are neatly arranged in a structured interface, clear and simple. However, Google Maps is accessible from any device with a browser, will be the application that is integrated with Google’s browser and requires no more than an Internet connection. If the future of computing is on mobile devices, then the future is Google Maps at the expense of Google Earth.

Another factor weighing on the side of the scale of Google Maps is the amount of layers you have. Not official, but accessible from the Google page. There are currently over 1,300. Some perform the same function. However, many worth mentioning.

For example, those that show weather ( The Weather Channel Interac … ) , traffic information ( Traffic Information ) , photos from Panoramio, GPS locators ( GPS Location ) , exporting brands of GPS ( Send your bookmarks GPS ) , measuring distance and area ( Area and Distance Calculator ) , search engine services ( Find anything around you ) , calculators elevation ( Elevation Contours ) , etc.

It is natural that the two programs have the same services as they share the maps, but for now that each choose one, one, or both. :-)
