HP Mini 210-1199DX Review
HP Mini 210-1199DX Review
Good: Slick design, great keyboard and touchpad.
The bad: more expensive than comparable Tablets, extended PowerBook G4 15 battery battery.
Bottom line: This is one of the best keyboard and touchpad combo we set a 10-inch netbook seen, but the pink HP Mini-210 is a little expensive for what you get.
As one of the cooler looking netbook that is likely to find in retail shelves, the HP Mini 210-1199DX only a few component upgrades over the base of entry-level netbook, extending its $ 379 asking price a bit.cost for the extra $ 80 over the cheapest current similar systems, you’ll quickly find, but not necessarily larger, 7200 rpm hard drive, 802.11n Wi-Fi version of Intel’s Atom N455 CPU – almost identical to the N450 version, except Apple A1057 supports DDR3 RAM, and a pink tartan to the back cover and the touch pad cover. If, during the design makes it a little step from netbook buyers, if you look more interested, but the prices were better dealt available.
HP netbooks offer ongoing about the best keyboard / touchpad combo we’ve seen, and they write about the best available medium to long term.
The most striking aspect of this version of the HP Mini 210 with its distinctive pink design. HP adorn the back cover with pink and white tartan pattern worn over the touchpad and the bottom plate, a real keyboard and keyboard tray are solid pink. We have seen a similar Apple A1008 concept at last year’s edition of Tord Boontje HP Mini 110 This system has a high-concept, but this pink Mini 210, they pay just looks a bit too much for clever. One area that HP netbook design that looks at the moment is a leading keyboard and touch pad. HP island current keyboard has flat, widely spaced buttons are easy to use, elegant and includes a full-size Shift key. Only the keys that get short end of the stick on the arrow keys, similar to and down arrows are rare. We also wanted the function keys to turn on the top of the opposite – that their representative functions (such as speakers or the sound of the clarity of the screen) is mainly used in traditional approaches to F5, F9, and tasks requiring holding the key at the same time.
HP’s touchpad is the largest we have (NB Toshiba close to the series is) on a 10-inch netbook’ve seen and closely emulate the advanced touch pad on a high-end series HP Envy found not. That is, there is no clear right and left mouse button – instead of clicking on the corners of the large touchpad, similar to what Apple IBOOK G4 battery will not build on MacBook laptop. It is much easier to use than a typical small netbook touch, but a handful of multi-touch gesture support, including two-finger scrolling, too picky helpful.HP includes the agency with too little advertising and PR connections, including connections to Barnes & Noble, eBay, HP download store and best buy Geek Squad service. HP has also installed HP clunky browser toolbar netbooks, which are particularly annoying on a system with only 600 pixels vertical resolution.
The display is 1024 pixels X600 is a standard 10-inch Netbooks, although some high-end netbook Apple A1060 better premiums in 1366 showed 768-pixel resolution. The Mini 210 is the mode design, it would not be unwelcome to a higher resolution display. On the positive side, this model is from edge to edge glass on display, making it a slick high-end look.Connections and links on this HP Mini 210 is similar to what we find in most netbooks, but it follows the trend of HP replacement microphone / headset jacks with a common audio connector. Mini is a power switch 210 is a little hard to find, because the slide over to the HP SD card slot and USB ports on the right edge of the hugs.
