we will see some kind of next-generation iPhone
It’s impossible to predict whether Apple will finally announce an iPhone for Verizon Wireless this summer, but it’s a pretty safe bet that we’ll at least see some kind of next-generation iPhone in the coming months. Let the guessing game begin!
Now, whether Apple really does have a CDMA iPhone up its sleeves is a matter of fierce debate on IBM thinkpad t42 battery , and indeed, several analysts are second-guessing the Journal today, saying they believe that Apple will continue its exclusive deal with AT&T through 2011, at least.
Still, if Apple’s recent history of churning out a new iPhone every summer holds true this year, it seems likely that the engineers in Cupertino (not to mention manufacturers in Asia) are busy working on a new iPhone of some sort for Dell latitude d430 battery , which the Journal story says may be “thinner” than the iPhone 3GS with a “faster processor” under the hood.
Shortly after the Journal posted its story Monday, Daring Fireball blogger John Gruber chimed in with … well, it’s not clear if these are actual predictions or just a sarcastic jab at the Journal’s rather vague article Lenovo thinkpad t400 battery , which he chided for failing to mention the new iPhone’s “A4-family CPU system-on-a-chip,” a “double-resolution” 960-by-640 display, a “front-facing” camera, and multitasking for third-party apps.
Next, Engadget tossed a few predictions of its own into the fire, reporting (via anonymous tipsters, of course) that the new iPhone — to be dubbed the “iPhone HD” — might be launched as soon as June 22.
Now, I personally have no inside dirt on whether any of these iPhone rumors are true, but all the would-be features listed above would certainly be welcome in my book of Lenovo thinkpad t61 battery . And here’s a few more I’d like so see, for good measure: a higher-resolution rear-facing camera (preferably eight megapixels, plus an LED flash or two, auto-focus, and 720p-quality video recording), a new, rubberized backing (or at least something to make the iPhone less slippery), automatic podcast downloads (perhaps via Wi-Fi, and only when your iPhone is charging), and the ability to play HD movies on that spiffy (but only rumored) 960-by-640 display, plus an adapter for true 720p video output via HDMI.
Of course, there’s only one new iPhone feature that most people I know seem to be interested in the Lenovo ibm thinkpad x60 battery , and it’s less a new feature than a new carrier: Verizon Wireless. Again, though, despite all the rumors, I wouldn’t get my hopes up — we’ve been down this road before, and so far it’s been nothing but a dead end. (But hey, you never know.)
